Cathy’s Cottage: Helping the community one piece of furniture at a time

Jefferson County Daily News - July 26, 2019

If a friend or family member had a sudden need for furniture, how fast could you fill it?
Carla Donoho’s best time to date is six minutes for bunk beds, which aren’t a standard requested item. Her record was set before she officially began Cathy’s Cottage, a non-profit organization serving area residents in need of essential furnishings but with limited resources to purchase them.
Donoho established Cathy’s Cottage as a ministry to collect new and used donated furniture, then fill item requests they receive from the public. The furnishings are picked up by Cottage volunteers, stored until needed, then delivered to the new owners.
All free of charge.

RECOMMENDATIONS

We are so thankful for Cathy's Cottage and the help they provide for the people in our community. They have been a huge blessing to our ministry as we help people get on their feet. In fact they are instrumental in helping make this happen. They do one of the best jobs of showing God's love in such a practical way!
